Historical Background of The College
For its education background, jaunpur is know to be shiraz-E-hind from the time of ughal empire after the first war of independence in 1857, the indian muslims lost everything. they were not only deprived of the rein of power but even their cultural. religious and academic identity was threatened and for a long time they remained an eye-sore for the british imperialism and were regarded as fifth colmnist.with a view to rasing the muslims from darkness JAUNPUR-1-ISLAMIA came into existence in 1949 with the sole purpose of awakening the muslim community and inculcating in them an interest for education and learning. this anjuman-i-islamia established a primary school in the atala masjid campus which once was a madarsa where the great emperor sher shah had completed his primary education. rising from primary education. to the position of an intermediate collage, this institution shot up into prominence as a post graducation collage in 1994. now it is know mohammad hasan pg college, jaunpur the collage is self-finaced and it has so far received financial assistance neither from the public sector nor from the private one. even though, the collage has retained its identity and remains true to its ideals. the following is a resume of the progress and achievements the collage has made during this short span of time:
B. Granted permission in 1995 to teach home science and sociology at graduation level.
C. Granted permission in 1996 to teach ancient history and psychology and to start B.ed. classes.
D. in 1999 permission was granted to teach agriculture and education at graduation level and urdu & military science at post graduation level.
E. the n.s.s unit was established in 1336.
F. in 2001 ' classes for physics,chemistry ,zoology,botany, mathematics started.
G. permission granted for the classes of political science, economics, geography and computer application in 2008. in the same year classes of home science and medieval history at p.g. level were also started.
H. in 2009, subjects like sanskrit, journalism, bio-technology at graduation level came into being in the collage. along with it. permission was also granted for b.com and english &education at p.g. level
I. in 2011. sociology and chemistry at p.g. level got started.
J. in 2014 music, microbiology, industriial chemistery. physical education, heath education and sports at u.g. level and zoology &m.com. atp.g. level got started.
K. then in 2015, political science, psychology, geography, ancient history, hindi, economic, maths, physics,btany at p.g. level got started.
